The Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG schedule might undergo changes based on the Lok Sabha elections schedule, as indicated by UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently announced that the CUET-UG exam would take place from May 15 to 31, with results expected by June 30.
India is bracing for general elections to select its 18th Lok Sabha, with the schedule anticipated to be disclosed this month.

UGC Chief Kumar informed PTI on Sunday that the NTA’s announced dates are tentative. Final CUET-UG dates will be determined once election dates are confirmed. The proposed timeframe begins from May 15. CUET-UG applications commenced on Tuesday and will conclude on March 26.
Introduced in 2022, CUET-UG offers a single-window opportunity for students aspiring for admission to central universities and other participating institutions nationwide, including state, deemed, and private universities.
In a notable shift, the NTA declared that the exam would be conducted in a hybrid mode, featuring Computer Based Test for select subjects and pen-and-paper mode for others.
Officials mentioned that subjects with high registration numbers would be administered in pen-and-paper mode using optical mark recognition (OMR) format, while others would remain computer-based.
Last year, the testing agency received around 14.9 lakh registrations for CUET-UG.
