The Petbasheerabad Police under the Cyberabad Commissionerate registered a criminal case against an event manager for playing loud DJ music during Bathukamma celebrations without permission. The complaint was lodged by a constable stationed at the police station.
According to the police, the incident occurred on October 4, when the complainant, along with another police officer, was on Blue Colt duty. Around 10 p.m., they came across a Bathukamma celebration with loud DJ music being played at Chandra Reddy Garden in Kompally. Upon inquiry, they identified the event manager as Paryada Karthik.
When asked for the requisite permission to use the DJ system, Karthik admitted that he did not have any official approval to play music at such a high volume. The police officers promptly instructed the event organizers to stop the DJ. However, after the police left the scene, the music was resumed in defiance of the orders.

As a result, the police registered a case under Section 223 of the BNS (disobedience to orders promulgated by public servants) against the event manager, Paryada Karthik, for violating the police directive.
Earlier that same day, the Cyberabad Police had issued a press note emphasizing the strict regulations regarding the use of loudspeakers at public events. The press release highlighted that no person is allowed to use or supply a loudspeaker in public spaces or places of public entertainment without first securing a valid license. This falls under the Hyderabad City Loudspeakers (Regulation of Use and Licensing) Rules, 1963.
The police have reiterated that public safety and adherence to noise pollution norms must be maintained, especially during festivals, and urged organizers to comply with the law to avoid legal consequences.
