Dalit Bandhu to empower SCs : Srinivas Yadav slams Oppn for falsehood

Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister, T Srinivas Yadav today said that the Dalit Bandhu scheme is for the empowerment of the SCs in Telangana State. The Minister alleged that the opposition parties are resorting to false campaigns to confuse Dalits.

Srinivas Yadav visited Yadadri Temple along with whip Gongidi Sunitha and officials. The temple officials gave the minister and the whip a warm welcome. The Pujaris offered blessings after performing special pujas at the temple.

Later the Minister informed media persons that Dalit Bandhu scheme will be a boost for SCs in the state of Telangana.  He slammed the opposition parties of the congress and the BJP for mud-slinging on the new scheme.

We have been offering Rythu Bandhu and on similar lines Rs 10 lakh to be offered to each of all the eligible Dalit families under the scheme. The Dalits will be empowered with the scheme, the minister hoped.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be launching the Dalit Bandhu scheme at Huzurabad on August 16 he said. The chief minister is scheduled to give Rs 10 lakh each to 15 selected beneficiaries first and then to be offered to others, the Minister said.

He also said that the scheme will be implemented across the state to benefit all eligible SC families. There is no doubt on the implementation of the scheme as guidelines are getting ready, Srinivas Yadav said.

He also said that the government formed a state-level committee of the officials to inspect and ensure monetary assistance reached the Dalit families.

All the families of the SCs will get the benefit the minister asserted. As planned the KCR government will implement it as that of the Rythu Bandhu scheme. All such schemes are in Telangana as no other states are able to implement them, he claimed.
