Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Election Campaign Committee Convener and Khairatabad candidate Dr Dasoju Sravan participated in election campaigning in Filmnagar Bastis. He participated in door-to-door padyatra.
During his chat with the people he has made several allegations against sitting legislator Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and TRS contestant Danam Nagender. He asked the public, do you need a person who has indulged in land grabbing? Or do you need a person who did not care about the people of the constituency or do you need a person who remained as a Voice of Voiceless in the separate statehood movement. He assured the people that he will work as their own family member for the development of Khairatabad.
Sravan assured that he will strictly implement the Urban Social Act and strategically redevelop the Khairatabad constituency. He expressed his confidence that Praja Kutami got strengthened after Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi visit for election campaign. Though the Basthis were created some 20 years ago under the regime of people’s god PJR, there was no much development activities taken place by the government. Still many of them do not have Permanent Houses, Land Pattas, Drinking water and Drainage facilities. He also pointed that all the leaders collectively failed in development.
In 2014 General Elections, Chintala had won only because of BJP alliance with TDP. The people who have kept their faith on him in developing the constituency have miserably failed in keeping up his promises. During his padayatra, he visited several colonies and slums and witnessed their living standards, on seeing this he promised the people that if he is voted to power, he will provide permanent houses, build community halls, lay new roads and develop the drainage system. He particularly criticized the government in failing to provide drinking water.
In Telangana movement all the sections of society have played an instrumental role in the statehood movement, particularly woman have sacrificed a lot but post formation of Telangana we could not see a single woman is given opportunity in the cabinet. Soon after Praja Kutami forms the government, woman will have an important role in it and Congress is committed for woman empowerment. He assured that Woman Self Help Groups will be provided with Rs. 10 Lakh grants.
He appealed all the voters to be careful from the leaders who are giving freebies like money and liquor. He also said the money that is given to you for your votes is the hard earned money of each one of us. He pointed that they have given chance to Danam and Chintala and they failed miserably. He requested to give him a chance and assured he will remain at their service. In the door-to-door campaigning, the Mahakutami leaders, Congress leader Singireddy Rohin Reddy, PCC Secretary Madhukar Yadav, Vamshi, CPI leader Harinath Goud, Sumanth, Abhi and others were present.
