Hyderabad: Three District Co-operative Central Banks were given permission to open 16 new branches –Adilabad DCCB – 6, Karimnagar DCCB – 5 and Medak DCCB – 5) in the State.
The permission was given at a meeting of the high level committee appointed by the Government to take decisions on strengthening the Cooperative sector, which met here today. The meeting was attended by officials of NABARD, Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank (TSCAB) and DCCBs , besides the committee members. It reviewed the financial issues relating to the DCCBs for the year ended March 2019 and the first quarter of 2019. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the work being done in regard to computerization of all the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies in the State.
The meeting appointed a special committee, with TSCAB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, as Chairman, to suggest measures for strengthen the Co-operative sector. (NSS)
