New Delhi: The Delhi Police department has booked (AAP) AamAadmi Party legislator Amanatullah Khan following the complaint by the (NIA) National Investigation Agency over the charges of disrupting the raids of the anti-terror probe agency during the raids at the office premises of Charity Alliance led by ex-Delhi Minority Commission chief Zafarul Islam Khan.
“An objection was shared by our Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) with the Shaheen Bagh police headquarters,” an NIA official said to IANS
In light of the complaint, a case was filed against Khan under many sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for obstructing the operation by the government officials.
As per NIA sources, Khan alongside his supports assembled outside the office of Charity Alliance, which is led by Zafarul Islam Khan in Jamia Nagar region of south Delhi on Thursday evening and attempted to obstruct the way of the NIA officials.
The NIA raids were a portion of its actions for the second continuous day regarding a case against NGOs allegedly utilizing funds raised in name of charitable activities, for secessionist and separatist acts in Jammu and Kashmir.
The NIA on Thursday conducted searches at nine areas in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi at the office premises of six NGOs and Trusts, which moreover included Charity Alliance.
Other than Charity Alliance, offices of the Falah-e-Aam Trust, Human Welfare Foundation, Salvation Movement, J&K Yateem Foundation and J&K Voice of Victims (JKVoV) were being searched by the anti-terror probe agency sleuths.
The official stated: “During the searches, the NIA has seized many incriminating documents, electronic devices.”
As indicated by NIA officials, the anti-terror probe agency’s actions are a portion of its extensive plan to choke the funding of the separatist groups.
The NIA raided 11 areas in Srinagar and Bandipora in J&K and one area in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
On October 8, the activity comes in the wake of a new case filed by the NIA under many sections of the Indian Penal Code and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
This trailed some “credible data” guaranteed that specific NGOs and Trusts are gathering funds locally and abroad through purported donations and business contributions, and so forth and are then utilising these funds for secessionist and terrorist activities in J&K.
