The Delhi Police has registered a case against a teacher for making objectionable remarks about Muslims and Islam in front of Students at a school in East Delhi’s Gandhinagar. While talking to the news agency, a woman named Kausar said that the teacher made offensive comments not only against Muslims but also against the religion of Islam.
She used insulting words in honor of the Kaaba and the Quran. Two children of this woman study in this school. “My two children study here – one in class 7 and the other in class IV,” Kausar said. If the teacher is not punished, then other teachers will also be encouraged and they will do the same about our religion.
Kausar added that they should be asked to teach only syllabus and not to speak on Islam and its topics of which they have no knowledge… There is no use for a teacher who creates discord among students. they must punish. We demand that the teacher be removed from the school, She should not be hired in any school because she will do the same wherever she goes.

Other parents and students of the school also came in front of the media and told that the teacher’s name is Hema Gulati and since the day the Chandrayaan3 mission was successful, the teacher had spoken insulting things in front of the students, especially the Muslim children.
DCP Shahdara Rohit Meena told the media that they have taken notice of the matter and are counseling the students with the help of the Juvenile Welfare Officer and counselors. He said that legal action will be taken based on the facts and appropriate provisions will be imposed. He said it was a government school and there were 2-3 students who needed counseling.
Meanwhile, Gandhinagar MLA Anil Kumar Bajpai condemned the incident and said it is the duty of a teacher to give good education to children. He said that it is wrong for a teacher to make derogatory remarks against any religion or holy place. He said that such people should be arrested.
This incident comes after a case of a teacher in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar where one of his Muslim students was slapped by his fellow non-Muslim students.
The incident took place on August 24 at Neha Public School in Khabapur village under Mansoorpur police station. A case was registered against teacher Tripta Tyagi but he tried to downplay it, calling it a minor issue.
