Hyderabad, Oct.26 (NSS): DEO & GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore, Ravi, Joint Collector, Hyderabad District & Nodal Officer, MCC, along with senior officials of the GHMC conducted a meeting with the representatives of various Political Parties.The DEO interacted with the representatives and explained to them about additional polling stations, changes of locations of the polling stations and also publicity materials, rates of the advertisements and other election process, monitoring of election expenditure of candidates, checklist of political parties, rates pertaining to hire charges of the vehicles given by RTA etc., have been discussed in the meeting.
The DEO said the rationalization of the polling stations has been taken up as around 99,000+ voters have been enrolled for which there is a need for providing auxiliary polling stations in some of the areas. The DEO said that the polling stations will be changed due to only main three reasons i.e., natural calamite, dilapidated building, other posing dangers to the building and the property belongs to any contesting candidates where the polling stations have been provided in these cases the locations of the polling stations will be shifted to other building within the limits of that area without causing any type of inconvenience to the voters of that particular locality as per the guidelines given by the ECI. With regard to printing of publicity materials, canvassing through various media channels, posters, pamphlets, banners, Flexies etc., the rates have been finalized by the DIPR/DAVP which have been communicated by the CEO, in this connection a separate meeting with regard to rates will be held on October 29 at 3pm, said the DEO.
During the course of the meeting the representatives of various political parties have represented their some of the questions for which the DEO has given the Power Point Presentation duly explaining about the rationalization of the polling stations, shifting of the locations of PS etc., for which the representatives have been satisfied and the meeting has been concluded.
