Hyderabad: Representatives of ‘Zilla Sadhana Samithi’ and other organizations today requested the State CPI leaders to support their fight for creation of Devarakonda district, as the area is backward.
Samithi convenor Kethawath Lalunaik, Girijana Samakhya State General Secretary Ramawath Anjaiah naik, BJP Parliamentary convenor N Venkateswarlu, AIBS secretary Kethawath Hemlanaik, Retired Employees Association President T Narsimha, BJP secretary Vanam Pushpalatha, submitted representation to CPI state Secretary Chada Venkata Reddy and Assistant Secretary Palla Venkata Reddy, in the matter.
They urged the CPI leaders to bring pressure on the Chief Minister KCR to create a district with headquarters of Devarakonda. They said that they would continue their stir till the district was formed. The CPI leaders assured the representatives of their full support to the cause, a CPI press note said here. (NSS)
