New Delhi: The Telangana Congress leaders were expressing different views on alliance with arch rival TDP. They were stating that the alliance with the TDP may send wrong signals to the people. Congress senior leader DK Aruna opined here that the alliance with TDP would create troubles to the party. The Congress party activists have fought with TDP activists in field level for the last 30 years and it was not that easy to shift the TDP votes to Congress party. She suggested the party high command that the party has to give tickets to the winning TDP candidates only. She said that some TDP leaders were asking Congress tickets making it clear that they were ready to contest from Congress party plank.
Another senior leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that the Congress party will win majority of seats though there was no alliance with TDP. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy said that he was getting ready to contest from Munugodu constituency. “I was informed the same to AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi. I also urged Rahul Gandhi to give tickets to the winning candidates”, he exhorted. (NSS)
