“The issue of pension disbursement remained unsolved. A meager amount of Rs.3,016 per month as a pension is not sufficient enough to pay the monthly rent or bear the medicinal expenses which are essential for the survival of disabled persons. Delay in disbursement of pensions taking a toll on us as we were left with no option but to continue protesting for our right. We are planning another protest as the pressure to hold the same keeps on mounting from all the disable fraternity,” said Syed Afroz, President Telangana Disabled Welfare Society (TDWS).
