The world stands at a position currently where many prefer riches over relationships, even at the cost of their relatives’ lives. Ignoring the blood-bound bond, a father reportedly killed his own son after a dispute over land and property in Andhra Pradesh.
The horrific incident took place on 12th August in Vishakhapatnam of AP state, The son and father duo had some arguments earlier regarding the share of property being given to his other three sisters as well. The exact reason for the murder isn’t known yet but the property is considered to be the prime issue.
Capturing the grave crime in AP, the CCTV footage from the house of the man shows the father walking up coolly to his son who is sitting with his back to the father on a chair, doing some chores. The visuals are from the verandah or parking lot of the house, also showing a car and the gate, presumed to be the entrance. He is then seen picking up a rod-like weapon and hitting his son, after which the man collapses on the ground immediately. The father doesn’t stop there and repeatedly hammers his victim while he is bleeding profusely. He shifts the hammer’s position after the son falls down and continues his brutal work, showering him with his inner rage.
The disturbing video identifies the accused as VeeraRaju, a resident of the coastal city of AP who hits his 40-year-old son to death. The father later reportedly surrendered to the police for his crime.
Apparently, the duo had an intense quarrel on the property being divided between the son and three daughters Veera had. His son is being told to have even started constructing a house.
By occupation, the father and son were seamen, recruited in the navy. The son was still working with the navy and had come home a week back while VeeraRaju had retired from the merchant navy.
The West zone police officer of Vishakhapatnam said, “VeeraRaju killed his son Jalaraju after a heated argument took place between them over a property dispute. VeeraRaju attacked his son with a hammer and murdered him on the spot.”
However, the police said that the father surrendered himself to them after this. They further added that a case of murder has been filed against VeeraRaju in the matter due to which the accused was taken into judicial custody on 13th August.
