Do not rent 2BHK Harish Rao tells beneficiaries

Hyderabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao today stated that providing two-bedroom houses to the poor is being a reality now. At KCR Nagar in Siddipet district, he gave away new clothes and keys to new houses to the beneficiaries to mark the inaugural of 216 housing units.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister expressed satisfaction as the KCR Government could deliver housing to the poor free of cost. These houses are on private and gated community houses with modern facilities and infrastructure, he claimed.

Harish Rao expressed happiness that the double bedroom housing is coming to reality in Siddipet district. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is keeping the promise of 2BHK to the poor, he said. He asked them to maintain cleanliness at the new housing to prevent virus spread and grow greenery.

If the houses are given for rent or for a lease, the government will not keep quiet and take action on the beneficiaries, the minister said. He warned that the violations in this regard will be serious and beneficiaries should try to be in the new houses and maintain them neatly. This scheme is meant for offering self-respect to the women of the poor community in our state, Harish Rao said.

He said that the district gets all facilities of education, health, IT, and others besides large-scale development of basic amenities. We have spent about Rs 1000 cr for several development programs in the district while welfare is a priority of the government, he claimed.

He extended thanks to the chief minister for the housing scheme and development programs in the new district.
