Early poll speculation: CS, CEO, Legislature Secy meet Guv

Hyderabad: Adding fuel to speculations of early polls and dissolution of Assembly, Chief Secretary SK Joshi, Government Advisor Rajiv Sharma, Legislature Secretary Narsimhacharyulu and CEO Rajat Kumar and other top officials today called on Governor ESL Narasimhan.

They met with the Governor at Raj Bhavan and said to have discussed on the present political scenario in the State. According to information and the media buzz, the top officials have informed about the readiness of the official machinery if early polls are imminent followed by dissolution of the Assembly. The meeting assumes very significance as the State is reportedly heading towards early polls in December. It is said that dissolution of the Assembly may be announced on September 6 or 7 followed by Cabinet meeting.

Legislature Secretary and other officials understood to have met with KCR at his Erravalli farm house and discussed on the related issues. The TRS supremo is reportedly paced up the process of early polls and discussing with his senior cabinet colleagues and officials. He asked Minister T Harish Rao and Etala Rajender to make arrangements for Husnabad Public meeting on September 7.

It is pertinent to note that IT Minister KT Rama Rao also hinted at the early polls as the ruling party was ready to retain power. It is being touted that the early polls are scheduled to be held in December along with the four States as KCR is reportedly getting ready to come up with key decisions in this regard. Also another Cabinet meeting will be held on September 6 and also on September 7 if necessary to take some more important decisions in this regard, announce interim relief of about 27 to 30 per cent to the employees and other appointments..(NSS)
