Eatala Rajender Wins Malkajgiri LS Seat with 3.6 Lakh Vote Majority

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Eatala Rajender triumphed in the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, achieving a substantial majority of over 3.6 lakh votes.

This victory came just months after Rajender faced double defeats in the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections in the Huzurabad and Gajwel constituencies.

The Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency is comprised of seven assembly segments: Medchal, Malkajgiri, Quthbullapur, Kukatpally, Uppal, Lal Bahadur Nagar, and Secunderabad Cantt. These segments span across the Medchal-Malkajgiri district and Hyderabad district, covering a significant part of the constituency.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election for Malkajgiri, Anumula Revanth Reddy from the Indian National Congress (INC) won, securing 603,748 votes (38.63%). He was closely followed by Rajashekar Reddy Marri of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), who garnered 592,829 votes (37.93%). N Ramchander Rao of the BJP received 304,282 votes (19.47%).
