ED Conducts Searches in Hyderabad Over Land Deals Linked to IAS Officer D Amoy Kumar

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday carried out searches at five locations across Hyderabad in connection with alleged irregularities in land transactions tied to a case involving senior IAS officer D Amoy Kumar.

According to official sources, the raids were conducted on several accused individuals, including Munawar Khan, Khaderunnisa, and others named in a case registered at Maheswaram police station. Among the locations raided were properties situated in the old city of Hyderabad, an area often under the radar for land-related disputes.

While D Amoy Kumar himself has not been named as an accused in the ongoing investigation, sources indicate that the ED is examining his role and involvement in the controversial land dealings. The searches aimed to gather evidence regarding possible money laundering and illegal property transactions.

The case, which was initially handled by the local police, came under the ED’s scrutiny after financial irregularities and suspicious transaction patterns were flagged. Officials stated that they seized several documents, electronic devices, and property papers during the searches, which are now being analyzed for further leads.

The ED’s action reflects its increasing focus on land fraud cases involving bureaucrats and influential individuals in Telangana. The investigation is expected to continue in the coming days, with more summons and questioning likely as authorities dig deeper into the financial trail.

This development adds a new twist to the ongoing probe surrounding land dealings in Hyderabad and could have wider implications if connections to higher officials are established.
