Hyderabad: On a tip-off, West Zone Task Force sleuths on Saturday raided a gambling den in Vengalrao Nagar here and arrested eight accused, who were playing three cards gambling.
Accused were identified as G. Venkat Reddy, a businessman of Madhura Nagar, V. Venkateshwar Reddy, 42, of Vengalraonagar, S. Satya Ranga Reddy, 41, of Nizampet crossroads, B. Satish Babu, 48, of Old Bowenpally, T.R. Kanth, 38, of Miyapur, B. Prasad Reddy, 39, of Nandi Towers, Siddarth Nagar, V. Ganesh, 41, of Vivekananda Colony, Allapur, Borabanda and K. Phani Babu, 41, a realtor of Madhura Nagar, SR Nagar.
Police said G.Venkat Reddy was organizing gaming house by taking commission for each game from the players. During the raid, the police seized net cash of Rs 1,60,500, 104 Playing cards, two sealed packs and eight cell phones from the accused. The accused along with seized material were handed over to the SHO, SR Nagar Police Station for further action. (NSS)
