END KCR FAMILY RULE BY VOTING TO CONGRESS : RAHUL GANDHI

Kamareddy  : Stating that a single family was ruling the Telangana State instead of elected people’s government, AICC president Rahul Gandhi today said the family rule will go the moment the people in the State vote for the Congress, which will form a popular government by bringing all sections together.

Speaking at the Congress sponsored public meeting here today, Rahul Gandhi said farmers, women and youth will be roped in to provide a transparent government. He said TRS government did not fulfil even a single promise, but pushed the State into a debt trap. Consequently, every person in Telangana was under the debt burden of Rs 2.60 lakh. There was no money for revival of the Nizam Sugar Factory, but Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao spent Rs 300 crore for his house, he added.

The AICC president also accused the caretaker Chief Minister of resorting to multi-crore corruption on pretext of redesigning of projects. He also accused KCR of cheating the people of not fulfilling his promise of giving one job to every house. “Similarly, KCR had promised double bed room houses to poor, three acre land to tribals, KG to PG free education, water tap to every house, Turmeric Board in Nizamabad and so on. Did he fulfil any one of these promises. KCR in Telangana and Modi in Delhi were resorting to corruption”, he thundered.

Reminding about demonetization of big currency notes by the NDA government, Rahul Gandhi said while the entire country opposed the new policy, KCR was the first Chief Minister, who backed demonetization of the big currency notes. Rahul also charged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister KCR were two sides of a same coin and style of functioning of the two was the same. He also alleged that while the BJP was backing TRS in Parliament, KCR along with MIM were supporting Narendra Modi, he fumed.

The AICC chief also recalled that Chief Minister KCR had promised to allocate Rs 500 crore for Gulf victims, but failed to give a single rupee to them. The Congress government will be behind the Gulf victims, he said, adding that Congress government will waive Rs 2 lakh loan of farmers in one installment like in the neighboring Karnataka State. But KCR had waived Rs 1 lakh farm loan in four installments, he pointed out

Later, Rahul Gandhi left for Hyderabad in a helicopter to participate in Rajiv Sadbhavana rally at Charminar in Hyderabad. (NSS)
