Hyderabad: Health Minister Etala Rajender today appealed to the people not to get scared of dengue, viral fevers and seasonal diseases. He asked them to be cautious and keep at bay viral fevers and dengue by remaining healthy.
Stating that all fevers are not dengue, the minister exhorted them to live in clean environments. He asked people to utilize OP services in the government hospitals, which are ready with health facilities and there was no need for panic, he said.
Along with Ministers Malla Reddy, Mahamood Ali and officials, Rajender held a review meeting with the officials concerned and took stock of health services. He asked the officials to put in place all health facilities, medicines, injections, doctors and staff to treat the patients. Rajender said 62 people tested positive of dengue and were treated, he said.
The minister said dengue fevers have come down in the State. He appealed to the people to maintain clean environment and bring related problems to the notice of the government for further steps. He asked the officials to make payment of salaries for outsourcing and contract employee s in the hospitals. Rajendar asked the officials to create awareness among people on the viral fevers, dengue and prepare them to face the related challenges. He also directed the GHMC officials to keep the city clean until the end of the rainy season.
