Hyderabad: Telangana State Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association has thanked the Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali. For giving an assurance on provision of house sites to ex-servicemen in the State.
Addressing the media at Hyderguda NSS here today, Founder President of the Association Ammika Rangaiah Goud said that the then Rangqareddy District Collector had earmarked 46 acres of land for distribution to ex-servicemen, but the Government had not issued pattas for the same. When they approached the High Court, the Court had directed the Government to give 150 sq yards of land to each of the ex-serviceman. Following the orders given by the Minister, the Collector got the land surveyed and assured them on giving house sites.
Rangaiah Goud requested the Government to allocate double bed-room houses to those who lost their lives while on duty; to create a wing in the TRS party for ex-servicemen, and to create a corporation for ex-servicemen on the lines of Tamilnadu.
He alleged that one ex-serviceman Subedar P M Muthu has been cheating the ex-servicemen by collecting amounts, assuring them huge returns. He requested the Police to arrest the culprit and take action against him. (NSS)
