Hyderabad: TSRTC Chairman and In-charge Managing Director advised the staff to be friendly with the commuters, so as to increase the occupancy rate.
Speaking at the third Expert Committee Meeting with the experts working in the domain of transportation to carry out an in-depth study of TSRTC, he said the Corporation was using latest technology to increase mileage and minimize accident rate and also the TSRTC was trying to increase the turnover of the Corporation. The Chairman said internal efficiency has been increasing because of steps being taken, and also all measures are being taken to improve turnover of TSRTC.
The meeting also discussed various measures for efficient functioning of the Corporation at the Bus Bhavan. The meeting would continue on Monday also. Along with the Chairman, Expert Committee members, who took part in the meeting were: M. Nagaraju, former Chairman, BMTC, P.S. Ananda Rao, former E.D., ASRTU, New Delhi, Prof. Tiwari Geetam, IIT, Delhi, B. Narakesari, Sr. Vice President (Mktg), Pratik Dave, Consultant-Urban Transport, M.N. Sreehari, Advisor to Govt. of Karnataka, Dr C.S.R.K. Prasad, Professor, NIT, Warangal, Ch. Hanumanth Rao, former Faculty, CIRT, Pune, Dr Sudarsanam Padam, former Director, CIRT, D. Venu, E.D. (Retd), TSRTC and Dr S. Nagabhushana Rao, E.D. (Retd), APSRTC.
The committee discussed various issues like Monetization of TSRTC lands and previous IIM report and action taken so far. In the discussion, the Executive Committee Members enquired with TSRTC Senior Officers regarding various schemes for generating revenue by the Corporation.
