Hyderabad: Arvind Kumar, MA&UD Principal Secretary today directed the officials concerned to plunge into action to give a facelift to the famous Hussain Sagar lake with all facilities. He also set a deadline for completing the related works of beautification of the noted lake in the heart of the city to be a favourite tourist destination.
Arvind Kumar further instructed the officials to coordinate with project consultants and prepare a plan to ensure that the work of the beautification of historic Hussainsagar lake is taken and completed by December end. He went round the Hussain Sagar on Tuesday morning with the officials and asked the latter to take the task as a prestigious matter. The government was committed to develop the historic Hussain Sagar into a tourist spot with better amenities, lush greenery, broad walk, walking paths and bright illumination with LED lighting, sanitation and upkeep and other facilities.
