YSR Congress party has said that the resignations of Party MPs was a part of the fight for Special Category Status (SCS) and alleged that TDP leaders speaking morals do not go well in the backdrop of the scam after scam unfolding and exposing them.
YSR Congress Honorary President YS Vijayamma has said that it is time to take the issue forward looking beyond Party and ideological affiliations as it is the lifeline and our right of Andhra Pradesh. However the fight for SCS by our Party will go into the history of the State and Parliament as well as a glorious chapter filled with grit, courage and sacrifice, she said.
Speaking to media here on Tuesday, party MP P Mithun Reddy said, ”We have given the resignations in the required format and the TDP leaders’ comments on the issue is ridiculous as the ruling party in the state has no sincerity and their loud comments are only to cover up the various scams the leadership is involved in.”Even in resignations, had all the 25 MPs resigned en masse, the effect would have been different but they still wanted to have a secret door open for BJP to save the skin of the leadership in times of the corruption and scams that are there and still unfolding, he said.
