Hyderabad: The State Government today accorded a warm welcome to 15th Finance Commission Chief N K Singh (Nanda Kishore Singh), who arrived here on a three-day visit.
Chief Secretary SK Joshi, Finance Principal Secretary Ramakrishna Rao and others accorded grand welcome to NK Singh at the Shamshabad Airport here. The Finance Commission is on a three-day visit to the State to hold talks on financial allocations to Telangana State for 2019-20 from the Centre. NK Singh and other members of the commission will participate in several meetings with the officials of the State government and discuss on the financial proposals and allocations. The committee was expected to meet with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on February 19. Later, Singh will hold a media conference in the evening at Jubilee Hall.
As per the schedule, the finance commission chief will hold discussions with officials of Panchayat Raj, Municipal Administration departments. First, NK Singh will hold talks with people’s representatives and political leaders. He also will hold talks with industry bigwigs in the city, including CII, TIF, FICCI, FTAPCCI delegates.
The Finance Commission members and officials present include Dr Anup Singh, Dr Ramesh Chand, Joint Secretary, Mukmit Singh Bhatia, Media Advisor Mousami Chakravarthi, Directors Gopal Prasad, Bharath Bhushan Garg, Joint Secretary Anand Singh Parmar, Deputy Director Nithish Shiny, Assistant Director Sandip Kumar, DDO DK Sharma, PS Thyaga Rajan and others.
