Hyderabad: Nand Kishore Singh, Chairman, 15th Finance Commission, Members Anoop Singh, Ramesh Chand, Mukh Meeth Singh Bhatiya, Joint Secretary, Mousami Chakravarthy, Media Advisor, Gopal Prasad, Bharath Bhushan Garg, Director, Anand Singh Parmar, Joint Director, Satish Reddy, Dy Director, Nuitish Shini, Dy Director, Assistant Directors Sandeep Kumar, DDO D.K. Sharma and P.S. Tyagarajan, along with GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore visited the historic Charminar and Falaknuma Palace today in the early hours.
The GHMC Commissioner explained to the visitors with a photo exhibition of Charminar Pedestrain Project, Beautification of Musi Project, the CPP Project which were taken up at a cost of Rs 35 core and also explained about the progress and benefits from the project to the citizens. The delegates appreciated the service being rendered by the GHMC officials. Later, the delegates have tasted a Hyderabadi Chai at Charminar.
Later, the visitors also visited the Falaknuma Palace where the Director and officials of the Tourism Development Department explained about the importance of the Palace, which was built in 32 acres by Vikar-Ul-Umra in 1897 and presented to VI Nizam. Manohar, Managing Director, Tourism, Sruthi Ojha, Addl. Commissioner, Srinivas, Project Director, CPP and Heads of various departments accompanied the visitors. (NSS)
