Jayashankar Bhupalapally: Flooding waters stopped coal production in the Kakatiya Open Cast Coal Mine in the Jayashankar Bhupalapally district. The miners could not work leading to the loss of 12,000 tons of coal worth Rs 12 crore.
Meanwhile, the rain was lashing the entire Nizamabad district. Streams were overflowing and the projects were filled with water. The flood waters have affected the Sri Ram Sagar Project.
Continous rain affected the normal life in Adilabad, Nirmal, KomaramBheem and Manchiryal districts. Streams in Mancherial district like Neelvai Vaagu, Suddala Vaagu, Bhathukamma Vaagu were flowing at danger level. Vehicular movement came to a grinding halt due to the overflowing Bheemili Mandal Rampur Erra Vaagu, Vaadaala Erra Vaagu. (NSS)
