On Friday, September 29, the foundation for Pre Unique India Pvt Ltd’s Oil Palm facility at Sankireddypally, Mahbubnagar, was laid as a key step toward encouraging Oil Palm farming in Telangana. Once operational, this facility, which is supported by a Rs 500 crore investment, is projected to employ 300 people directly and 1000 people indirectly.
Telangana’s Minister of Industries, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), emphasized the agricultural sector’s tremendous growth under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR). He emphasized the major effect of the Rythu Bandhu plan, which has deposited over Rs 73,000 crore into farmers’ bank accounts, as well as the Rythu Bima scheme, which provides farmers with 24-hour free electricity supply and Rs 5 lakh insurance coverage.
KTR also praised the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the state, underlining that the party has launched initiatives that have been unfinished for the previous 65 years.
KTR claimed that the Telangana administration is capturing its proper portion of the River Krishna’s water, changing the dry plains of the former Palamuru district into productive ones. As a result of these efforts, rice output increased significantly, jumping from 68 lakh metric tonnes to 3.5 crore metric tonnes.
KTR slammed the federal government, saying that despite increasing output, a plea to the BJP-led Union government to acquire parboiled rice was denied in 2018.
KTR stated that the Telangana government intends to produce oil palm on 20 lakh acres over the next five years. The government is offering a subsidy of Rs 50,000 per acre, with a total allocation of around Rs 2500 crore, to assist farmers in this attempt.
Furthermore, KTR reported that another oil palm plant is planned in Khammam, with a foundation placed the next day, and another in Nirmal, with a foundation laid on October 4.Finally, KTR urged local authorities to support the company’s management and guarantee smooth operations.
A water treatment facility with a capacity of 75 MLD was opened in Wanaparthy district as part of Mission Bhagiratha, with the goal of supplying drinking water to communities. at addition, KTR dedicated 96 double-bedroom kitchen homes at Rajpet village, Wanaparthy district.
