Free Shuttle Rides to Hitec City Launched to Alleviate Traffic Congestion in Hyderabad

In a significant move to ease traffic congestion and reduce reliance on private vehicles, Uber has launched free shuttle rides to Hitec City for a limited duration. This initiative aims to support shared mobility among commuters and enhance convenience for those traveling to the bustling business district.

The shuttle service is designed to connect key residential areas—including Alwal, Ameerpet, Bachupally, Nanakramguda, Uppal, and Vanasthalipuram—with Hitec City, making it easier for residents to commute to work. The service has already shown immense success in other major cities like Delhi and Kolkata, where it has become a vital part of the daily routine for tens of thousands of commuters.

The free rides will be available on all designated routes leading to and from Hitec City during the promotional period. Commuters can pre-book their seats up to a week in advance and conveniently track live shuttle locations as well as the expected time of arrival (ETA) through the Uber app. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, standing passengers will not be allowed.

This new initiative is part of Uber’s ongoing efforts to enhance public transport options and offer a seamless commute for Hyderabad residents. As the city continues to grow, such measures are crucial in managing traffic flow and promoting a more sustainable transportation ecosystem.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this free shuttle service, which guarantees an efficient and hassle-free travel experience to one of Hyderabad’s busiest economic hubs. Further updates regarding the service duration and route enhancements are expected in the coming weeks.
