Hyderabad: Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) formerly known as FAPCCI representatives have expressed their intention to partner with the Forest department in sapling, protecting the plants and natural forests etc., It also said as the industry has gained benefit from the society and would like to render to the society in return.
FTAPCCI has come forward to join hands with State Forest department for the success of IV phase of Telangana Ku Haritha Haram which is one of the flag ship program of Telangana state government in the meeting attended by the governing body of FTAPCCI, officials from the Chief Minister office and Forest department. The governing body has commended the vision of the Chief Minister to make the state green.
Arun Luharuka, FTAPCCI president has said there is no option but to plant the saplings in large scale and to protect plantation in order to control the air pollution. He has offered one page in FTAPCCI monthly magazine exclusively for Forest department for one year for wide publicity of Hartiha Haram. Member of FTAPCCI has assured support of collecting the plastic waste materials free of cost from all the forest areas and parks. He further asked to share the complete activities Forest department to look into the feasibility of supporting by mobilizing the industry.
P.K.Jha, Head of Forest department has explained the development of Urban Forest Parks, Eco Tourism Parks and the consequences of plastic waste materials in forest areas. He has sought the support of industry to cooperate in protecting wild forests and its animals. He has asked the industry to adapt the parks, landscapes, greenery of traffic junctions, animals in zoo and contribute for tree guards and for control the usage of plastic materials.
Vinod Kumar, Amrabad Tiger Reserve Field Director explained the steps taken for the development and highlights of Tiger reserve and extended an invitation to the members to visit.
The meeting was attended by Priyanka Varghese, OSD to Chief Minister, P.K. Jha, Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests & HoFF, TS, Hyderabad, P. Raghuveer, PCCF-IT, other Forest department officials, officials from HMDA and GHMC . (NSS)
