Get ready for cocaine test: BJP MP to KTR

TRS Working President KT Rama Rao was challenged by BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind to take a cocaine test and to sign an official letter of consent for the CBI to investigate rice millers in Telangana.

At a press conference here, he responded to remarks made by KTR at the public meeting in Warangal. Arvind, responding to the remarks made against BJP chief Bandi Sanjay that he consumes tobacco, said he would make sure that Sanjay was subjected to a test, but Rao should also undergo a cocaine test.

In response to allegations that the Centre had failed to release funds, he said that, in the last seven and a half years, the Centre had transferred Rs 1,67,647 crore to Telangana under devolution of Central funds.

“The Centre also gave Rs 1,860 crore for 619 crore vaccine doses, Rs 2,961 crore for free ration during the pandemic, and Rs 14,494 crore for railways. Moreover, Rs 1,14,585 crore was spent on food subsidies, and Rs 92,000 crore on national highways. The Centre spent Rs 3,94,147 crore on Telangana, which is Rs 28,350 crore more than the State contributed.”

He challenged KTR to prove him wrong, otherwise, he would smash him with his own slippers. He dared Rao to order the demolition of Janwada’s farmhouse, which he claimed violated the provisions of GO III.

He says, “If KTR believes he is honest, then he should provide orders to demolish the farmhouse.” He demanded that the state issue an official order authorizing CBI to carry out an investigation into rice miller irregularities in the state.

Earlier, Arvind had promised to approach Piyush Goyal, Minister for Food and Public Distribution, and request that a defamation suit be filed against KTR.

This is related to the ruling TRS’ statements that Goyal had said TRS ministers during a meeting in New Delhi, to get the people of Telangana accustomed to eating broken rice.
