Hyderabad: The GHMC which launched Swachh Hyderabad Internship Program (SHIP) 2018 on July 14 and conducted first internship activity at Charminar last week, the second activity for the interns, under SHIP-2018 was conducted today at Neknampur lake.
All the interns, along with the GHMC officials participated in the cleanup of debris on the banks of the lake. Students from various colleges and institutes like St Francis College for Women, Begumpet, St Mary’s College, Yousufguda, Rishi College, Moosapet, Gurunanak College and Fitjee -Khairtabad, participated in the event. Besides Radio Mirchi RJs, RJ Guru and RJ Swetha, along with the SBM Team, GHMC, participated in the event and engaged students in various Swacchata activities. The event got huge response, where some “400 Interns” enthusiastically took part and made it a grand success.
GHMC Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy and Additional Commissioner Shruthi Ojha applauded the efforts and interest displayed by interns in various activities of SHIP. The GHMC sanitation team has done a commendable job in conducting the event smoothly, he added. (NSS)
