Kakinada two town police have arrested a youth who reportedly cheated several young girls making friendship with them through face book and collected huge amounts luring them of getting them jobs.
Giving the details of the interesting case at a press conference here on Tuesday, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ravi Varma gave the name of the accused as Jogada Vamsi Krishna alias Harsha (27) a native of Rajahmundry city.
He joined the Aditya engineering college at Surampalem in B tech first year during 2013 but discontinued and joined in a private company in Hyderabad in 2014. Since then he has cheated several young girls to the tune of nearly Rs 80 Lakh luring them of getting employment. His modus operandi was getting acquaintance with the girls through face book by opening account with fake name of Harsha and displaying his friend photo.
He was arrested once by Hyderabad police and sent him to jail but came out on bail. Cases were registered against him in police stations of Khammam, Bhimavaram, Palakol, Akiveedu, Kakinada and Mahabubnagar. Six months ago in the same fashion he has cheated a lady medical student of Rangaraya Medical college here.
