Give Aviation Draft plan for districts in a month: CS

Hyderabad: The State government mulls a plan to provide Air connectivity to all districts in Telangana.

Chief Secretary SK Joshi today conducted a high-level meeting with Telangana State Aviation Academy Managing Committee and officials at Secretariat here.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary directed them to prepare in a month a draft plan of report on infrastructure development program to expand air connectivity in all districts. Joshi sought a report on the existing infrastructure for aviation in the districts and conduct a feasibility study to expand to other potential districts in future. He also advised the Aviation Academy to get self sufficiency to provide required training to several aviation companies in the country and to prepare plan of action to cater to world aviation needs. The Chief Secretary asked the academy to introduce new courses to provide 100 per cent job opportunities to youth.

The Chief Secretary also expressed happiness at the Academy for providing job oriented courses in the aviation sector through 5 year MSC course. The officials informed that about 75 to 80 per cent trainees are getting jobs through the academy which got good name across the country. Recently the academy has signed an agreement with Indigo Airlines for cadre pilot training and also got an agreement with Air India for practical knowledge.
