Hyderabad: A pall of gloom descended on the Telangana BJP office headquarters here today following the demise of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Almost all party leaders including state party president Dr K Laxman, former union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Kishan Reddy, Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, MLC Ramachander Rao went to New Delhi to pay their last respects. The BJP state leaders visited BJP office and paid their last homage.
BJP state office looked deserted as there was no activity after the death of Vajpayee and all programmes have been cancelled for two days since yesterday.
BJP workers across the state took processions mourning the death of Vajapayee and raised slogans as “ Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zindabad”, “Vajpayee Amar Hai”. (NSS)
