Hyderabad: Health Minister Etela Rajender today said the State government was taking all measures to contain coronavirus cases. He said cases were spread from a person to his four members of his family in Qutbullahpur.
Speaking to media persons here today, the minister said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reviewed thrice today on the issue. “KCR has asked us to take more measures to check virus spread and provide extended hospital facilities to treat corona positive cases”. He appealed to those who come to city from other places or abroad should report to the government and follow lockdown to be safe.
“A six-floor building with 1,500 beds was getting ready in six days at the Gachchibowli stadium. This facility will improve services as the government was ready to tackle any number of cases. We are taking all steps as six more cases of corona positive increased in Telangana taking total to 67 on Saturday”, he said, adding that the cases in quarantine are decreasing gradually and it is now 13,000. Three cases were reported positive as they come from Delhi after visiting places of worship.
A 74-year-old man, who had some other health problems tested positive after his death in Global Hospital. The house owners should not cause inconvenience to tenants in the name of corona cases. In Qutbullahpur, four members of a family got corona positive cases and there was no red zone in the city.
“As per Chief Minister KCR directive, we are working 24 hours and doctors will get 10 days leaves after shifts. The staff checked travellers at airport got virus and their families are under check now. We make efforts to check virus spread and people have to cooperate by staying at homes”. He expressed his displeasure that some rumours were being spread on virus. People and workers going to villages, will get ration rice and financial aid from the government, he said.
However, there was no case of corona in the State domestically, he said. The State government has made all arrangements for providing treatment to more positive cases. As corona virus was spreading and people have to be cautious must stay indoors, the minister said.
