Govt to give Rs 7500 cr Rythu Bandhu to farmers

The state government plans to offer the Rythu Bandhu amount to the farmers during the Yasangi season, according to information.

This time around Rs 7500 cr would be deposited into the accounts of banks of the farmers in the state. About 63 lakhs of farmers will benefit from this scheme.

The government scheme offers to farmers a push to go in for agricultural activities and avoid loan issues. While the government spent Rs 7300 cr during the last spell for the purpose this time the amount is to rise to about Rs 7500 cr according to sources.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the officials concerned to deposit the amounts in the bank accounts of the farmers. As a result, the finance wing officials are getting ready with data on the farmers and their bank accounts.

The officials are to finalize the details to provide financial assistance by the government for farming activities. It is likely that the farmers may get the financial assistance in about a weekdays or 10 days, according to information. The farmers with one acre and two acres will get the amount first and the rest later in a phased manner, it is learned.
