Hyderabad: Municipal and Industries Minister, KT Rama Rao today informed the house that 18 projects have been taken up in the city to provide complete road connectivity and ease traffic jams. During a question in the Assembly here today, KTR said that under the Strategic Road Development Project (SRDP) program the government is to spend Rs 30000 crore for the purpose.
KTR said that SRDP aims to increase road connectivity and complete development programs, As per the program Rs, 6000 crore works are on and built 9 flyovers, 4 underpasses, 3 RUBs, one bridge, and one cable bridge he informed. These facilities will sure improve road connectivity and ease traffic problems, the minister said. The GHMC and officials are coordinating for the roads he said.
He also informed that following directions of Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, we have taken up several development programs in the city. The initiative is to develop Hyderabad as a global city through several development programs, he added.
The Minister said that related land acquisition works are going at a speed pace. These works are being undertaken by Hyderabad collector he informed the house. To improve the public transportation system both Metro and RTC is being developed, he added.
