Govt Will Help AIDS Patients, Victims : Harish Rao

Health and Finance Minister T Harish Rao today said that the government will provide help to AIDS patients and victims in the state.

Hyderabad and Warangal districts will get dialysis test facilities to ensure services to the AIDs, hepatitis, and other patients, the minister said.

Participating in world AIDS Day at Chest Hospital here the health Minister maintained that the deaths of AIDS patients had decreased significantly. About 90 percent of fatalities came down in the state and efforts are on to decrease it further with more facilities, he said. The government will construct a multi-specialty hospital in the city and help the AIDS patients at the corporate level, he said.

 The Minister further said that the AIDS victims should avoid shyness and take tests to recover. We are for providing them with all health services and succor to get back to normal lives, the health Minister said.

The health minister said that Dialysis tests will be offered to AIDS, other patients in the state with priority. Four super-specialty hospitals will come up in the city and ensure dialysis facilities in Hyderabad and Warangal, he said. The government spends more funds for improving health facilities to ensure corporate-level services to the poor.

Later at BRKR Bhavan, the health minister held a review on corona and preparedness to check the Omicron virus in the state.

He instructed the collectors and health officials to take up more vaccination drives in the districts. Cover all the people with corona vaccination and create awareness in mandals and villages, Harish Rao said.
