Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is dreaming of to turn Gattu segment into green area by completing projects to avail of complete water sources in Gadwal Jogulamba district. This was stated by Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao at Pragathi Sabha a public meeting after KCR laying foundation stone for Gattu lift scheme at Penchikalapadu in the district.
On the occasion the minister said that the government has offered Rs 554 cr administrative sanction for this project which will be completed on a war-footing. This will irrigate about 33000 acres in the segment on completion of the works. KCR has conducted padayatra in this area on June 1 in 2002 and fought for RDS. However the congress in opposition is continuing Delhi tour while the TRS leaders are making tours for completing the projects. The congress deceived people in 2014 by stating that RDS was sanctioned and failed to complete. Chandrababu and YSR also cheated the people in irrigation sector and Naidu failed to develop Palamur after adopting he charged. Though the congress is coming in the way the government will go ahead to complete the projects Harish Rao said.
Harish also informed that Kaleshwaram is the dream project of KCR and making efforts to complete at the earliest. The minister vowed to give waters to Yadadri Bhuvanagiri and Suryapet by completing SRSP and turn into green Palamur and Rang Reddy districts by Krishna waters. (NSS)
