Gutha resents PM’s comments on Telangana State formation

Hyderabad: Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy today criticized Prime Minister  Narendra Modi for his comments in Parliament on the Telangana State formation during the Congress-led UPA government.

Talking to media persons in Nalgonda, the chairman found fault with Prime Minister Modi and condemned his comments. He alleged that Modi’s comments are an insult to Telangana people and late Union minister Shushma Swaraj too. The BJP leadership was resorting to double standards on the formation of Telangana. The Prime Minister hurt the sentiments of Telangana people and employees, he added.

Gutha also said that during the Congress region, Parliament passed the statehood bill with the support of late Sushma Swaraj when she was the leader of the Opposition. “It is uncalled for and unwarranted that the BJP leadership was talking against Telangana State”, he fumed.
