Hyderabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao today distributed 18 cabs to all women under the “She Cabs” scheme under SC Development Corporation of the government. He gave the keys and documents to the women at a program in Sangareddy here Later talking to the gathering, the finance minister said that the women are ideal to serve the society.
The women are second to now and will be in the forefront to serve the society, Harish Rao said adding that the 18-45 age group of women were selected for the scheme. She cabs have the latest facilities like GPS, Android phones to serve better and easier.
The minister asked the women beneficiaries of the scheme to make use of the facilities and subsidies to grow financially. Harish Rao expressed hope that She Cabs will serve the people and get the women drivers income for their livelihood. The government spent 1.32 cr for the purpose and the scheme will be extended to all other districts in the state, he said.
The minister appreciated the women for showing their knowledge and making efforts to shine in all fields. The women empowerment will help the state and the nation develop he said.
