Haryana Brings Back Odd-Even Rule Amidst Severe Air Pollution

The Haryana authorities have introduced an old odd-even rule in 4 districts — Gurugram, Faridabad, Jhajjar, and Sonipat — from next week.

Government Employees To Work From Home

A decision to this effect was taken in an emergency meeting known as with the aid of Additional Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Tuesday.

It also decided that in 14 districts falling under the NCR, the authorities’ employees will work from home till November 22.

The 14 districts wherein do business from home has been recommended are — Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Faridabad, Gurugram, Jhajjar, Jind, Karnal, Mahendragarh, Nuh, Palwal, Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak and Sonipat.

The odd-even scheme is a car rationing scheme underneath which odd or even-numbered motors ply on change days. Vehicles with registration numbers ending in ordinary numbers are allowed at the roads on unusual days, while those with even numbers ply on even days.

Private Institutions To Take Special Permission To Call Employees To Office

Apart from this, private institutions had been requested to follow the same. Such industries wherein the sort of system is not viable will need to take special permission from the Deputy Commissioner.

Earlier within the week, the management had recommended people inside the 4 districts to work at home. The authorities and personal schools have been additionally closed till November 17.

Deputy Commissioner Gurugram, Yash Garg said the management will take all measures to enforce selections taken inside the meeting. The duty of the shipping branch has already been fixed to comply with guidelines.

A representative of the district transport department stated, “We will put in force the ordinary-even rule as according to the given instructions. As numerous humans are already working from domestic so we hope it isn’t always hard for the department to put in force orders, he stated, adding that, there could be no regulations on CNG automobiles”.
