Thumby Aviation Pvt Ltd, is organising a helicopter joy ride for devotees who want to visit MedaramSammakka-Sarakkajatara in Mulugu district according to M Shivaji, district tourism officer, the state tourism department.
Thumby will begin flying helicopters from the University Arts and Science College in Hanamkonda city to the Medaram tribal shrine in Tadvai Mandal on Sunday (Feb 13).
The up and down ride from Hanamkonda to Medaram costs Rs 19,999 per person, and the aerial view of Medaram costs Rs 3,700 per person.

Arrangements for the festival
Somesh Kumar, Chief Secretary to the Government, and DGP Mahender Reddy held a teleconference with officials from the various departments to discuss the Medaram fair arrangements. He stated that the Medaram race would be held from the 16th to the 19th of this month. Over a crore, devotees are expected to attend this time. Devotees are expected to act without hesitation. Devotees are instructed to pour water into the leaping stream for bathing. He stated that 3,850 RTC buses were available to devotees. He revealed that toilets and medical camps had been set up for the benefit of the devotees.
History of MedaramJatara
MedaramJatara is a Hindu tribal goddess festival celebrated in the Indian state of Telangana. Jatara is famous for hosting one of the world’s largest gatherings of people. The Jatara begins in Medaram, Tadvai Mandala, Mulugu district. The Koya Tribe priests carry out all Goddess-related rituals in accordance with Koya customs and traditions.
Medaram is about 95 kilometers from Warangal city and is located in the Eturunagaram wildlife sanctuary in the newly formed Mulugu district. Devotees from Telangana and neighbouring states, including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha, travel to the jatra every two years. It is expected that approximately 1.6 crore devotees will visit the Medaram shrine this year. Air travel services have been launched by the tourism department in response to an increase in the number of devotees visiting the jatara.
