Hindu Vedika to contest all seats in State

Hyderabad : The Hindu Vedika of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States today announced it would field its candidates in all the 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana State, which is going to polls on December 7. Speaking to mediapersons here, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha State president Dr Dantu Nagarjuna Sharma, Jan Sangh Telangana State president Rajesh Sharma and Hindu Andolan Ekta Paksh leader Nagender Deekshitulu said they have formed the Hindu Vedika of the two Telugu States to fight the ensuing Assembly elections in the State. They also said they were ready to forge an electoral alliance if the BJP was willing to fight the December 7 elections.

The three-party Hindu Vedika also demanded that the Election Commission immediately derecognize the MIM party, which has roots to the infamous Razakars in the erstwhile Nizam State. It also urged the government to declare holiday on September 17 and officially celebrate the Telangana Liberation Day. The Hindu Vedika also claimed that some 20 Muslims were ready to contest the ensuing elections on behalf of the Hindu Vedika, which was not opposed to any religion or community. The Hindu Vedika leaders said they will announce its candidates shortly. (NSS)
