As per the latest reports, TSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation) has begun a bus service from Shilparamam in Hitech City to Hyderabad Airport.
Every 30 minutes between 4:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., the bus will depart Shilparamam. Those who travel on a daily basis will receive a 10% discount.
It is also worth mentioning that TSRTC decided to impose an additional diesel cess a few months ago, revising fares for all services but exempting passengers in Greater Hyderabad.
The corporation decided to impose an additional diesel cess in slabs of Rs.5 and above, based on the distance traveled by passengers, on all types of the district, and on long-distance services.
TSRTC also increased student bus pass fares in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, as well as rural districts. It was noted that the prior increase in bus pass fares occurred in 2019. The bus pass charges have not increased in almost three years, despite the fact that the diesel price has increased many times over, according to the report.
Every day, the TSRTC transports more than 30 lakh passengers and 12 lakh students, totaling 42 lakh commuters, across Telangana and to neighboring states. Every day, the Corporation buses consume nearly 6 lakh liters of diesel.
Hyderabad International Airport
The airport first opened its doors on March 23, 2008. Previously, Begumpet Airport was the only civilian airport serving the city’s residents.
The PV Narasimha Rao Expressway was completed in 2009 to reduce travel time between the city and the airport. The 13-kilometer-long expressway connects Mehdipatnam and Aramghar.
It is India’s largest airport in terms of land area. From April 2021 to March 2022, it handled over 12.4 million passengers and over 1.4 lakh tonnes of cargo, making it India’s fourth busiest airport.
The airport is currently owned and operated by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), a public-private venture.
