Taking the issue of illegal layouts seriously, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has issued a letter to the Commissioner Manikonda Municipality asking not to grant any building permissions in Sy.No.88, of Neknampur Village.
While investigating into a property dispute, wherein cancellation of layout No. 7676/MP2/Plg/H/1999 Vide LP No. 47/MP2/H/03 have sought by the petitioner, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has summoned the warring parties for verification of the documents in compliance of the court order. However, when the petitioner appeared with all the required documents to prove its claim, others did not turn up to prove their case that led the HMDA issue a letter last month to Commissioner Manikonda Municipality asking him not to grant any building permission in Sy.No.88 of Neknampur village till the completion of enquiry.
The letter reads “While the petitioner Mohd Zahed Hussain appeared before this authority and submitted the relevant documents with a request to cancel the layout, the respondent and 5 others have not appeared nor submitted any documents in support of their case. Hence pending the enquiry into the above issue, the layout approved vide No.7676/MP2/H1999 is kept in abeyance until further orders and the commissioner Manikonda Municipality is directed not to issue any building permission in Sy.No.88 of Neknampur Village, Gandipet Mandal under Rangareddy district till the completion of enquiry.”
Though several representations were made against exponential level of encroachments in Sy.No.88, no action was initiated by the MRO Gandipet. Even the letter issued by the HMDA to Municipal Commissioner asking not to grant any permission in Sy.No.88, yielded any result so far,” rued Mohd Zahed Hussain, the petitioner.
However, the MRO Gandipet Rajashekar did not respond to multiple calls for comment.
It is not out of place that the Collector Rangareddy district has recently suspended the Town Planning Officer (TPS) for not acting against unauthorized constructions. Subsequently, he also issued a memo to Chairman for entering into void-ab-initio agreements with a private party.
