Home Minister of Telangana Mohammad Mahmood Ali today asked police officials to make requisite arrangements to avoid any law and order problems in the upcoming Bonalu procession and Bakrid festivals in the state.
He passed these orders during a review meeting on the issue with the principal secretary of home department DGP and police commissioners.
Speaking on the occasion he asked the officials to make comprehensive arrangements for bonalu and bakrid festivals.

He asked them to coordinate with the other departments while making the arrangements. He said that the police officials should focus on ensuring compliance with Covid rules like wearing face masks and maintenance of social distance.
He also asked the police to see that Muslims did not slaughter cows during bakrid festival. He also urged Muslims to sacrifice cows during the festival.

Commenting on the Organization of bonalu festival, he said that the police should coordinate with local temple committee members.
He also held a review on the vacant posts in the department at different levels.
