Amazon Business in Hyderabad continues to act as a one-stop destination for business customers thanks to its approximately 6.5 lakh sellers and more than 16 crore GST-enabled products.
Beginning in 2017, Amazon Business has seen a 12 percent YoY (year on year) increase in customer registrations in tier II cities like Hyderabad. Amazon Business continues to simplify the procurement process and help MSMEs buy from the seller who best fits their procurement budget, according to a press release.
Amazon Business, which has India’s largest GST-enabled selection, saw 72 percent growth in customer accounts, 27 percent growth in spending by accounts, and 38 percent growth in orders.
As customers’ needs have evolved, Amazon Business has continued to innovate and add features such as ‘Bill to Ship to’ that allow them to claim GST credit on their billing addresses.
Suchit Subhas, director Amazon Business, said “MSMEs have started embracing digital solutions to cater to the evolving needs of consumers. Be it selling products or procuring business supplies, digitization is the way forward. We are humbled by the positive response we have received from our business customers throughout the year.”
“Our growth is a testimony to the fact that our efforts to positively contribute to the MSME sector are in the right direction. This year, we will continue to help our customers and seller partners leverage Amazon Business to save more on their business purchases and increase their profitability,” he added.
Telangana IT minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) had also earlier formally launched Amazon Air at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) stating that it would strengthen Amazon’s distribution network and enable faster delivery to customers.
Speaking at the launch event, KTR said, “This makes Amazon the first e-commerce company in India to partner with a third-party carrier to provide a dedicated air network for deliveries with Hyderabad getting to host the event.”
