Hyderabad Braces for Rain as IMD Forecasts Showers Over the Next Four Days

Despite starting the day with clear skies, Hyderabad is expected to experience light to moderate rainfall and drizzles by Tuesday evening, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad. The city is under a forecast of rain for the next four days, extending until August 2.

The IMD has not issued any specific rainfall warnings for the state. However, weather experts predict that passing heavy showers could occur from the afternoon through the night, with moderate to heavy rainfall anticipated in east and central Telangana overnight or early in the morning.

On Monday, heavy rainfall was recorded in several districts across Telangana. Mahabubabad received 99.8 mm of rain, while Warangal saw 94.5 mm. Hyderabad itself experienced light to moderate showers during the night, with Golconda receiving 9.5 mm of rain.

So far this monsoon season, Telangana has recorded excess rainfall of 438.6 mm, surpassing the normal 344.6 mm. Hyderabad has also seen above-average precipitation, with 292 mm of rain compared to the normal of 271.3 mm.

Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and prepare for potential disruptions due to the expected rainfall.
