A city-based builder from Hyderabad was brutally murdered by unknown assailants in Karnataka. According to the police report, Kuppala Madhu, 48, of Jeedimetla, Hyderabad, was involved in both building and travel businesses. He frequently traveled to Bidar for business purposes and left for Bidar on May 24 after informing his family.
Accompanying him on this trip were Renuka Prasad, 32, and two others, Varun and Likhit Siddhartha Reddy, from Chintal, who were driving. That evening, around 10 PM, Madhu’s wife, Venkatalakshmi, received a call from him stating he was returning to Hyderabad. An hour later, when she called back, his phone was switched off.

The next day, May 25, a body was discovered near a car parked by the roadside in the jurisdiction of Mannekelli police station in Bidar district. Based on the car number, police identified the deceased as Madhu and informed his family. Investigations revealed that the attackers had stabbed Madhu with knives and struck him on the head with a stone.
Madhu’s family reported that he had gold jewelry worth Rs 6 lakhs and a large sum of money, suggesting that robbery might have been the motive behind the murder. Police suspect that Renuka Prasad, Varun, and Likhit Siddhartha Reddy, who accompanied Madhu to Bidar, might be involved in the crime. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
